How do I backup a MySQL Database?

Your database can be backed up using the phpMyAdmin feature in your control panel. Simply login to phpMyAdmin with the username and password from the control panel that has access rights to the database.

Select the “Export” tab at the right of the screen. Select the table(s) (or use the select all to grab the whole database) and scroll down and click “Save File As” and click on the “Go” button. This will start the database export. When the export has completed, a browser window will open asking you to save a file. This file is your database backup. Save it to your machine and you’re done.

Weberz does have a backup network in place that backs up all of our servers once a day. However Weberz accepts no liability for lost data due to a failure of any kind. It is the users responsibility to have their own backups of their files.
