How long does a domain registration last?

Domain registrations last for as long as the registrant, or account holder, pays for them.  At this time all domain registrations are sold in 1 year increments.  Most domain registrars will allow users to register a domain from 1 year to 10 years at a time.  Prices will of course  vary from registrar to registrar.
