Setting up a Weberz email account in Eudora

This article covers how to setup Weberz email accounts in Eudora 6.2.

Open up Eudora. Once Eudora has loaded click on Tools –> Options.

This will open the options window and allow the user to set up an email account. The first section is called Getting Started. This is where the Real Name (displayed on all outgoing mail in the from section), email address, mail server, username and outgoing mail server will be configured.

Fill in the required information for the Real Name and email address. The email address (which must be already set up in the Weberz Control Panel) is displayed on all outgoing mail messages. This should match the email address that was set up in the Weberz Control Panel. The mail server will be set to mail.yourdomainname.com. The username will be the full email address (including the @domainname.com). The outgoing mail server needs to match the first mail server that was typed in (i.e. mail.yourdomainname.com). Make sure the check box for “Allow authentication” is checked.

Now click on Checking Mail. Make sure the “save password” box is checked. Also, a time period (in minutes) can be specified to dictate how often Eudora should check for email. Leave set to 0 if this is going to be done manually.

SMTP authentication needs to be configured so that Eudora will be allowed to relay mail through Weberz servers. Click the sending mail icon. The email address can be left alone (this will be autofilled with the information entered earlier). Make sure that the allow authentication button is checked. Once all of this information has been entered click Ok to save the configuration.

The first time you click check mail you will be prompted for a password. Enter the password that was set up on the email account in the Weberz Control Panel. This will only need to be done once. The first time you try to send mail, Eudora will ask for the same password. Enter it again and the mail will be sent. This too will only need to be done once.
