Setting up a Weberz email account in Microsoft Outlook
| This article covers how to set up a Weberz email account in Microsoft Outlook, versions 2000, XP and 2003.
First off, Outlook needs to be started. If this is the first time that Outlook has been run it will ask for some basic information to set up a profile. This usually includes a Name, email address, and other information needed to get the profile going. If you’ve already used Outlook, this process has been completed. |
Once Outlook is up and running, click Tools –> Email Accounts.

This opens the section where a new account can be set up, or an old account can be edited. Click the radio button next to “Add a new email account” and click Next.

This opens up the server type section. Select POP3 and click next. This opens the Internet Email Settings window. This is where the account will be configured to work with Weberz’s email server(s).
Enter the personal information requested. The email address section will be the email address that was set up in the Weberz Control Panel. The incoming and outgoing mail servers will be set to mail.yourdomainname.com.

In the logon information section a username and password needs to be entered. The username is the full email address for the account and the password is the same password that was assigned when the email account was set up in the Weberz Control Panel.
Once the logon information has been entered, click the More Settings button. This opens the Internet Email Settings window. Click the Outgoing Server tab.

Under this tab, select “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”. Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected and click Ok.
Click finish to close the wizard. Outlook is now set up to send and receive email from Weberz.
