10-8-2008: Mail4 Hotmail Blacklist

Hotmail’s mail system has blacklisted our Mail #4 server from being able to send email to their servers. Upon investigation we have found that a spammer had been using the Mail4 server to send spam to Hotmail users.

The spammer has been removed from the servers and the blacklist should expire sometime in the next 24 hours. Until that time users hosted on the mail4 server will not be able to send spam to Hotmail users.

Update: Hotmail has started to accept emails again from our mail4 server.  This has been confirmed by Weberz staff that the functionality is working properly again.
